The Brazilian Super Mario fan site I started at 12 and launched in 2006.

01
Context
The 2000s. Forums were meeting points for anyone who loved technology, anime and video games. I was part of Clube do Hardware and Hyrule Legends, a Brazilian forum dedicated to The Legend of Zelda.
02
Problem or opportunity
I found places to talk about Zelda, computers and all kinds of games, but missed a Brazilian community entirely dedicated to Super Mario. “If I can’t find the Mario site I’d like to visit, why not build my own?”
03
My role
Creator. I started building it in 2005, at 12, and launched it in 2006.
04
What I built
Mario Brasil (mariobrasil.com.br): news, information, trivia and a community for fans of the most famous plumber in video games. It went live a year before Super Mario Galaxy came out.
05
Technologies
Technical details being documented, coming soon.

Outcome and learnings
It was proof that someone, even very young, could learn, build, publish and grow a community around something they loved. That’s where my path as a tech creator and entrepreneur began.
